Welcome to Better Hearing Care in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida!

We are here to serve you and to provide you with the most up-to-date hearing aid technology available today! Basic digital hearing aids generally require the wearer to make some manual adjustments in certain listening environments such as turning a volume control up or down, or pushing a button to change listening programs. In contrast, a premium or more advanced hearing aid responds automatically to changes in the listener's environment, making changes based on the signals being detected by the hearing aid. The hearing aid wearer is not required to make any manual changes. As the level of the technology increases in hearing aids, so does the availability of advanced features.

Better Hearing Care provides the best in services related to hearing evaluation, rehabilitation, and prevention of hearing impairment.

Evaluation and demonstration of Assistive Listening Devices (ALDs) including FM systems, Alarm Clocks, TV and Phone Amplifiers

Assistive listening devices are devices that can help a listener function better in day-to-day communication situations. ALDs can be used with or without hearing aids to make hearing easier, which can reduce the overall stress and fatigue of listening. ALDs can be used in the home to make alarms, the television and telephone more audible. They can also be connected to personal hearing aids for better listening in noisy environments.

Follow-up Care

Once your hearing aids have been fitted to your complete satisfaction, we will provide you with detailed information on how they should be maintained. Of course, you can have your hearing aids checked by us at any time. This will ensure that the sound quality remains as good as ever, and will extend the life of your aids.

Getting Hearing Aids

Once you have told us your history and your personal expectations with regard to your hearing, we provide you with detailed advice on the most appropriate products and facilities to meet your requirements:

  • Which ear do you have a problem hearing with or both ears?
  • Which style of hearing aid is most suitable for you: analog, digitally programmable or fully digital?
  • Do you want to regulate the volume of the hearing aid yourself, or would you prefer a hearing aid that adjusts automatically to any hearing situation?
  • Which aid best suits your hearing loss for your personal situation?
  • A Completely-in-the Ear, In-the-Canal, In-the-Ear (ITE), or behind-the-ear aid (BTE) aid?

In Office Services

We encourage ongoing regular cleaning and maintenance after your hearing aid purchase to ensure you receive optimum performance and benefit from your hearing aid(s). We encourage all our patients to come in for regular hearing aid check-ups and cleaning.

Repairs, Maintenance, Cleanings, and warranties are included with all brands of hearing aids. We offer in-office repairs when possible on most makes/models.

Musician and Hi Fidelity Products

Musicians have unique needs to protect their hearing from excessive volume. Regular noise protectors offer too much sound reduction, particularly in the low frequencies. This can affect how they hear tonal balance and perceive other singers and musicians. There are many specialty products available to overcome these limitations; custom in-the-ear monitors, custom high fidelity earplugs with acoustic filters, and generic flat frequency response earplugs.

We know how these products can be used to offer the best fidelity and greatest hearing protection.

Test & Audiometry

In order to adjust your hearing aid to your individual requirements, we first determine your personal hearing profile, or "audiogram." This is done by testing your ability to hear a variety of speech and environmental sounds.

Tinnitus Evaluation and Management

Tinnitus is described as a ringing in the ear, and can range in severity.  A tinnitus evaluation can help you identify how much tinnitus interferes with your daily life and if there are treatment options that can benefit you.
